Acute Care Post Graduate Certificate

Not Admitting Fall 2012

The American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and the AACN Certification Corporation recently announced changes to the current Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification. The current Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification will be replaced beginning in 2013 with what will be called the Adult-Gerontology ACNP certification. This will require changes to programs who currently offer the ACNP certification. Due to this recent change the University of Utah ACNP program will not be offering a post-graduate certificate in acute care for this coming year. We anticipate that we will offer the program again beginning Fall 2013. Waiting this extra year will allow you to be eligible for the new certification.
