The Salt Lake Valley Health Department owns Ellis R. Shipp Clinic and space is provided for BirthCare HealthCare (BCHC) Nurse-Midwives to see women with diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. All staff are fluent in Spanish. We offer free pregnancy tests and a sliding scale fee at this clinic for patients who are uninsured.

This clinic serves young pregnant women under the age of 20. We offer pregnancy and gynecologic care on Tuesdays, Thursday and Friday. The clinic offers a holistic perspective to care for each teen we serve.
All births are attended at the University of Utah Hospital where we have a state-of-the-art birthing facility with 24 hour coverage by the Nurse-Midwives.
