Certificates are fully available online.  The primary areas of research are family care giving, intergenerational relationships, public policy, sustainable communities, safety and medication errors, and grief and bereavement. The Gerontology Interdisciplinary Program is affiliated with the University of Utah Center on Aging, the Association for Gerontology in Higher Education (AGHE), Sigma Phi Omega (SPO), and most faculty are members of the Gerontological Society of America (GSA).
