Intermountain Healthcare Simulation Learning Center

Advanced Preparation Studio

The Ruth, Eleanor and John Ernest Bamberger Foundation

advanced

In the advanced preparation studio of the Intermountain Healthcare Simulation Learning Center students apply the skills and knowledge they have learned to full patient-care management. In this area manikins are more representative of actual living patients from infant to adult: they have heartbeats and lung sounds, can speak, as well as provide physiological responses to learner interaction. Here, learners master their skills in prioritizing the diverse needs of multiple patients while communicating effectively in a busy hospital or in-patient environment. The advanced preparation studio also exposes learners to critical and emergency care treatment modalities.
